This VW Golf R Mk8 was treated to a high-performance audio upgrade designed to match the car’s modern, aggressive character while maintaining everyday usability.At the heart of the system are dual JL Audio 10W3V3 subwoofers, delivering deep, controlled bass, powered by a JL Audio RD1000.1 amplifier. Mid and high frequencies are driven by a JL Audio RD400/4 amplifier, with signal control handled by a STEG MDSP10i sound processor and STEG DRC for precise tuning and on-the-fly adjustments. Front-stage clarity comes from STEG MZ650C 2-way components, complemented by STEG MLG65C rear 2-way components for a balanced, immersive soundstage.
The installation is finished with a full custom, show-level boot build, designed and manufactured entirely in-house. Every panel, finish, and colour choice was carefully selected to suit the Golf R’s interior and performance-focused aesthetic, resulting in a build that delivers both visual impact and uncompromising sound quality.
